Welcome to my website! My name is Tiffany and I am an Integrative Health and Wellness Coach, trained Duke Integrative Medicine. My husband and I opened Excel Psychiatric Associates in 2012. It has been an incredible journey that has allowed my personal interest to merge with my professional passions. In addition to being a Health Coach, I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness based practices.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina and Charlotte, a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have worked in the hospital, community, and home setting. In those settings, I realized how important a comfortable environment is to the success of a person. I have tailored my professional practice to allow telephone sessions, face to face teleconferences, and face to face office visits.

The mind and body work so beautifully together, and that effects every aspect of life. Whether it is losing weight, gaining personal relationships, decreasing stress, it all works together within you. My exploration for Integrative Health started when I noticed the physical impacts Depression and Anxiety have on the body. As I explored the correlation it because clear, there was a need to bridge that gap. I have such deep respect and honor for my clients allowing me to partner with them and help foster these life-changing transformations that touch their lives in ways they never thought possible.

What is Integrative Health Coaching?

What is Integrative Health Coaching?

Integrative Health Coaching effectively motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and coach. A coach is like a “personal trainer” except the focus will be on your whole self. The coach helps the client develop and realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery and accountability.

Are there health behavior changes that you have wanted to make but either haven’t known how or haven’t been successful in the past? Has a new health concern arisen that you want to pay particular attention to?

As a health coach, I work with the whole person. I listen to your concerns, reflect your thoughts and ask insightful questions to help motivate you to make the changes you desire. I spend time exploring what is most important to you in your health and allow you to choose your course of action. I will guide you through a process to maximize the possibility of your success.  We will work in partnership to identify obstacles to change and create strategies for moving forward toward your goals. As your coach, I support you in tracking your weekly progress and hold you accountable for your commitments. Additionally, I will provide resources for making healthy behavior changes.

What are appropriate topics for health coaching?
