Holistic care for your whole health journey

  • Holistic Health and Wellness

Life is messy, complex, and overwhelming; we get it. That’s why we always take into account your expertise on your unique lived experience when making recommendations from our clinical expertise.

And your physical health is part of your mental health, so we strive to tailor a custom approach using lifestyle adjustments, various therapeutic modalities, and medications as options to help you to achieve your optimal health vision.

We pride ourselves in not simply pushing one singular intervention but rather on viewing you as a complete person and joining you as a partner in your own mental health journey.

We understand that your mental health is one piece out of the whole. Without treating you holistically, we are not treating you properly.

We work with you to develop a plan of treatment that helps you live a full, happy life, capitalizing on cutting-edge research and therapy modalities.

  • Your Whole Health Journey

If medications are part of your health journey, we work closely with you to find the best fit for you and to mitigate any potential side effects.

Just as we recognize that mental health includes both physical and psychological components, we recognize that the effects of depression or the side effects from medication, such as weight gain, sexual dysfunction, sleep disorders, or other complications need attention and care.

We work with the whole you through your whole health journey, caring for your mind and body through therapy, psychiatry, interventional treatment for side effects, and medication management plans that make life simpler.

Come talk. We’ll listen. Let’s work together to help you live your best life.

Top Quality Care

Our providers are actively engaged in staying up to date with cutting edge research so that they are able to provide you with top quality care.

We are well-versed in the entire spectrum of psychopharmacologic treatments. We know how and when to use the latest medications, as well as when the application of more traditional treatments may be the optimal solution.

This means that as we collaborate with you in pursuit of a regime that fits you best, our providers will be able to bring all appropriate options to the table, making sure that whatever is selected is the best fit for you.

We are an out-of-network provider. This means …

Our services are driven by your needs, not by the demands of insurance companies.  And with longer appointments, we can take time to really listen and understand your unique situation. We also think your appointment should start on time, every time.

At Excel Psychiatric, we do not agree with insurance companies dictating the length of your appointment, the frequency of your appointments, or the treatment options that you are allowed to receive. In order to facilitate this level of freedom for each of our clients, we have stepped outside of the typical insurance payment model.

We are transparent about our pricing and never hide our fees. You’ll know exactly what you’ll be paying before you start.

For full details on our pricing, see our Pricing page (link here) where all services with their associated costs are clearly listed.

  • When medical practices take a copay and summit claims to an insurance company, the providers are bound to certain restrictions and limitations imposed by the insurance company. As an out-of-network practice, you pay the fee for each appointment up front, and as a complimentary service, we can assist you in submitting paperwork your insurance company to seek reimbursement. We don’t let the insurance company come between you and your provider.

  • We understand that sometimes the initial cost burden is hard to bear, so for clients who need extra support we have partnered with Care Credit, a credit company exclusively dedicated to supporting patients cover their medical bills through low interest rate credit and easy payment plans.

  • Do you work with insurance to help cover those costs?

We work with insurance companies on medication costs all the time! At Excel Psychiatric, we believe that providing a treatment you can’t afford is equal to providing no treatment at all. We tackle the prior authorization process so that your medications can be approved by your insurance company.

Sometimes, even after insurance approval, the cost of medication is still more out of reach. In these situations, we work to help you take advantage of available manufacturer discount programs and patient assistance programs.

Our Core Services

  • One size fits YOU

Psychiatric services include both finding the right diagnosis and medication management.

Our psychiatric providers greatly pride themselves on being educators.

You will be able to discuss, discover, and learn about your mental health, treatment options, and the function of each medication.

And if side-effects develop, we will work with you to manage them or find an alternative treatment.

Just like some people with diabetes can manage it with diet and exercise alone, while others need medications in addition to that, some people experiencing difficulties in their mental wellbeing need medications to enhance their ability to participate in their positive life changes.

Our medical providers can assess whether or not your unique situation would benefit from medications, and if so, will work with you to determine the best regimen possible.

  • Helping you be the best you

Therapy is a process to help you develop personal skill sets to tackle life's obstacles. At Excel Psychiatric, our goal is to help you be the best you that you can be. We tailor the type of therapy to each individual situation and may include elements of CBT, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and other techniques based on your needs.

It is never to "fix" or "change" who you are, as we feel each person has many positive attributes that make them unique.

See [link to Tiffany's page] for more information about our therapy services.

Meds here; Therapy there

We would love to coordinate with your established therapist. If you would like to see us only for medication management and still continue to work with your own therapist, we will make every effort to coordinate care with them to provide you with the best care.

"He, by far, is the best psychiatrist I have seen in my 20+ years of suffering with depression. When I came to him, I had been severely misdiagnosed and felt worse then I had ever felt in my life. Thankfully, he straightened everything out in a very short amount of time and I feel so much better. The office staff has been very nice and when I email them with a question or concern I ALWAYS receive an answer with 24 hours or less. I’m very grateful for them."

Question for Chepke’s:

Do you want to include something like the following on the home page? We could ultimately do more with blog posts or short form videos on specific FAQ type content (or upgrade the whole idea to create a video course) but for now, we could at least link previous content here, if you’d like? Or we could add a page dedicated to all these links?

I only pulled a few, but I can include links to everything from the Psych Congress Network site, or I can organize it by categories, or you can choose a few that you want here.

I’m not sure what the title should be … It’s basically an “In the news” section, but I put in a filler title for now.
